Stable Power for Continuous Process Operations
VFDs and large nonlinear loads may cause harmonic distortion, reactive power demand, and voltage fluctuations in continuous production.
Typical Case:
Hengli Petrochemical Harmonic Mitigation Project
Project Background: Hengli Petrochemical (Dalian) Industrial Park is a large-scale petrochemical complex integrating PTA, refining, and ethylene projects, with high requirements for power supply reliability and equipment operation stability.
Challenges: The petrochemical production process involves a large number of variable frequency drives (VFDs) and other nonlinear loads. While improving energy efficiency, these devices generate harmonic currents that may affect power quality, interfere with electrical equipment operation, and increase equipment losses.
INPOWER provided a harmonic mitigation solution using BLUEWAVE Active Power Filter (APF). The system monitors harmonic currents in real time and injects compensating currents through power electronic conversion technology to reduce harmonic distortion. It also supports reactive power compensation and three-phase current balancing to improve overall power quality.

Before

After
After the implementation of the APF solution, harmonic conditions were improved, helping reduce the impact of harmonic currents on electrical equipment and enhance the stability of industrial operations.
